The Agency Hosts Press Event at Former Huron Campus Announcing Development of a Master Plan for Revitalization

ENDICOTT, NY — The Agency hosted a press event on Thursday, August 21, at 10:30 AM at 1701 North Street, Endicott, to announce the development of a comprehensive Master Facilities Plan to guide the modernization and revitalization of the historic Huron Campus.

Supported by New York State, this plan will provide a clear, business strategic roadmap for site improvements—positioning the 130-acre property for new attractions, expansion, and long-term economic growth.

The Huron Campus, once the birthplace of IBM, has evolved into a dynamic hub for advanced manufacturing, clean technology, and innovation. Today, it is home to global leaders like BAE Systems and BU CAMM, who provides incubation facilities for startups. Coupled with a historically skilled workforce and expanding educational and training opportunities, the campus is primed for continued growth.

The Master Facilities Plan builds on this momentum, serving as a blueprint for investment and sustainable development across high-potential sectors like the semiconductor supply chain, energy storage, and other advanced technologies. By modernizing buildings, upgrading infrastructure, and optimizing land use, the plan will attract new employers, create jobs, and strengthen the Southern Tier’s position as a hub for innovation, continuing the campus’s legacy as a driver of economic vitality for Endicott and Broome County.

“Phoenix Endicott Industrial Investors LLC, an affiliate of Milwaukee-based Phoenix Investors LLC, is committed to the revitalization of this campus. Phoenix is honored to carry on and grow the legacy of manufacturing in Broome County. This grant will provide a foundation for the campus’s resurgence, re-establishing Endicott as a destination for people and employers alike.”

“The Huron Campus has always been central to our region’s story of innovation, and this Master Facilities Plan ensures it will remain central to our future as well,” said Stacey Duncan, Executive Director of The Agency. “By investing in modernization and aligning with the needs of today’s high-growth industries, we’re creating the foundation for new business opportunities, quality jobs, and long-term prosperity for Broome County. This partnership reflects the power of public and private collaboration to drive transformational change.”
